Today is David's birthday. Pre-kids, I probably would have had the whole day planned with a picnic lunch at the beach, movie tickets and a homemade dinner. Unfortunately, all David got was the homemade dinner. The day kicked off with Troy needing to go to urgent care for an ear infection. The rest of the morning was spent going back and forth between pharmacies to get Troy his prescriptions and pain medicine. Then while the kids were napping, David retreated to the garage to fix our garage door opener- which just broke. It is really nice having a husband that is so handy around the house! At least I was able to get David his homemade dinner of choice- spaghetti and meatballs with marinara sauce simmering all day and made from scratch and an apple crisp for dessert. Last night David's family came over and we were able to have a mini celebration even if Troy was having a slightly rough night. Troy got a crown for turning 3 at preschool in November, so I simply added a 0 and was able to convert it into a crown for David!
Happy birthday David! I am sorry that the day wasn't perfect, but the kids and I love so you so much. I am so lucky to have you as my husband and best friend. Thank you for always being there for us.
